Know exactly why Google ranks your pages.
Or why it doesn't.

ClearDesk SEO scores every page on your WordPress site against Google's actual Quality Rater Guidelines — the document Google's human raters use — then tells you, in plain words, why it's ranking or sinking. See why. Fix it. Watch it climb.

Why we exist

WordPress publishers are fighting on two fronts.

Google's quality bar keeps rising — and AI bots take your content without sending anything back. We build for both, with one engineering team and one detection layer underneath.

Front one · Google

Rank, or know exactly why you don't.

The audit suite scores every page against the Quality Rater Guidelines — E-E-A-T, YMYL, spam signals — and lets you fix what's flagged inline. This is the subscription product, and it starts with a free single-page score.

Front two · AI bots

Charge the crawlers, or block them.

On sites we audited in 2025, AI agents accounted for 25–40% of crawl volume — none of it ranking the site or sending traffic. ClearWallet, our free GPL plugin, makes ClaudeBot, GPTBot and friends pay per request or stops them at the door. Googlebot is never touched.

What you get

Everything in one dashboard.

No plugins. No scripts. No performance hit. Just SEO power that works with the setup you already have.

Fix issues inline

Missing meta description? Fix it right there in the dashboard. Broken link? Update it instantly. No switching to WordPress admin. Click, edit, done.

— saves ~20 minutes per page

Deep site crawling

Page speed, duplicate H1s, missing meta tags, heading hierarchy, broken links, HTTP errors — across unlimited sites. Real-time, actionable, prioritized by severity.

Plugs into your SEO stack

Works seamlessly with Yoast, RankMath, SEOPress, and All in One SEO. Just connect your site — nothing else to install. Your existing config stays exactly as you set it.

Historical tracking

See exactly what you fixed and when. Track SEO improvements over time with comprehensive analytics and audit history. Show clients the progress you're making.

Honest expectations

What a first audit typically turns up.

We won't show you invented testimonials — you can't verify those and neither can we. What we can tell you is what the first crawl tends to find on an established WordPress site, drawn from the patterns across 1,200+ audits. Run your own and see.

Thin pages you forgot existed

Tag archives, stub posts, old landing pages — content quietly dragging on sitewide quality signals. Usually the single biggest finding.

Missing E-E-A-T plumbing

Posts with no author attribution, authors with no bios, claims with no citations — the exact things the Rater Guidelines tell raters to look for.

YMYL pages held to a bar they don't meet

Health, money, and legal content gets stricter scrutiny from Google. The audit flags which of your pages are in that bucket — most owners are surprised by the list.

Mechanical issues with one-click fixes

Duplicate H1s, missing meta descriptions, broken links. Boring, fixable inline, and done within the first hour.

What each plan includes:

  • Unlimited site crawling & issue detection
  • Real-time analytics
  • Every subscribed site in one dashboard
  • Bulk editing capabilities
  • Yoast, RankMath, AIOSEO & SEOPress support
  • White-label reports

*SEO actions are AI-generated fixes you apply from the dashboard — a rewritten meta title, a new meta description, or a featured-image suggestion each count as one action. Review-first AI drafts are full posts drafted from a structured summary of your own site's content, scored by the same quality engine before they reach you, and held as WordPress drafts for your review by default — we flag scaled content abuse for a living, so nothing auto-publishes unless you explicitly turn that on. Content Scoring pages are individual URLs scored against the 64-signal Quality Rater Guidelines model; each plan's quota refreshes monthly and re-scores count toward it. Plans are per connected WordPress site — your team dashboard manages every subscribed site in one place, and each site carries its own plan and quotas. Running three or more sites? The Scale tier prices your whole portfolio together.

Frequently asked

Straight answers.

Don't see your question? Email support@cleardeskseo.com — a real person will write back, usually same day.

Is there really no plugin to install?
Correct. ClearDesk SEO connects to WordPress via the REST API using your existing credentials. Nothing gets installed on your site — which means zero performance impact, no plugin conflicts, and no extra attack surface. If you can log in to WordPress, you can use ClearDesk.
How is this different from Ahrefs or Semrush?
Those are competitor-research and keyword tools. ClearDesk SEO is a technical + content quality tool built specifically for WordPress site owners who want to fix what's broken on their own site. We're not trying to replace them — we play well alongside.
What does "Google Content Scoring" actually measure?
Every page on your site gets scored against criteria from Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines — the same document Google's human raters use. We measure Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust, YMYL risk, spam signals, and 58 other quality markers. No vanity metrics.
You flag AI content as spam — and you sell AI drafts. How is that not hypocrisy?
Fair question, and we'd rather answer it than hope you don't ask. Google's spam policies target scaled content abuse — mass-produced pages made to manipulate rankings, with no review and no original input. Our drafts are the opposite of that pipeline by design: each one is written from a structured summary of your site's actual content, scored by the same 64-signal engine we use to flag spam, and saved as a WordPress draft for your review — nothing publishes itself unless you deliberately enable that. The quota is 10 a month, not 10,000. If you want a tool for flooding the web, we're the wrong vendor; our scorer is what catches that.
Is pricing per site? I run several.
Yes — each plan attaches to one connected WordPress site, with its own quotas. Your team dashboard shows every subscribed site in one place, so running several doesn't mean juggling accounts, just one plan per site. At three or more sites, email us about the Scale tier: we price the whole portfolio together instead of stacking per-site plans.
What counts as an "SEO action"?
One AI-generated fix you apply from the dashboard: a rewritten meta title, a new meta description, or a featured-image suggestion each consume one action from your monthly quota. Crawling and issue detection never consume actions — only generating fixes does.
Is the free scorer really free? What's the catch?
Really free, no signup. You get the same 64-signal E-E-A-T analysis we run on paid plans, for one URL at a time, rate-limited per day. The "catch" is honest: we think once you've seen one page scored, you'll want your whole site scored — and that's what the paid plans do.
Do you work with my existing SEO plugin?
Yes — Yoast, RankMath, SEOPress, and All in One SEO are all supported out of the box. Your existing settings stay exactly as you configured them. ClearDesk SEO reads and writes to the same meta fields your plugin uses.
Can I cancel anytime? Any fine print?
Cancel in-dashboard with one click. No fine print, no retention calls, no "sorry to see you go" email chains. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access through the end of your billing period.
Is my data safe?
We only store what we need to run audits: URLs, scores, and issue history. We never sell or share data with third parties. All connections use HTTPS, and we encrypt your credentials. Our privacy policy is written in plain English, not lawyer-speak.
About ClearDesk SEO

We built this because we were tired of paying for tools that didn't actually tell us why.

ClearDesk started in 2023 as an internal tool. We were WordPress engineers juggling 12 third-party SaaS products across 14 sites — and losing our minds over scoring methodologies nobody could explain.

So we built the product we wished existed: one platform, real quality scoring, inline fixing, no plugin dependencies, no vanity metrics — and every signal tied back to documented Google guidance.
